5. Januar 200521 J. Hello , first of all i must apologize i use english ( i don't know german language ). I have problems with 4HP18. New transmission is too expensive so i decided to regenerate this transmission by my self. I found agency of ZF in poland so i think that there wouldn't be any problems with any parts to ZF. I have 4hp18 part list alos but i don't have any repair manual. My question is: Is there any possibility to obtain some repair/service manuals of ZF 4hp18 . I'll be thankfull for any sugestions or links or paper forms of manual. Please contact me at : przemyslaw.wieckowski@pf.pl . Hello, maybe the following link is useful (sorry, everythin is in german language): http://saab-cars.de/foren/saabforum/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?p=12763 There are some guys having SAABs, which ar using about the same automatic transmission as the XM. They went to ZF in Frankfurt/Main and showed the worn out clutches of their gears. It could be seen, that the clutches were damaged due to a lack of lubrication. The reason was a covered oil supply hole due to a design failure, which was changed by ZF later. They received free spare parts from ZF and the car is running running well again. Obviously SAAB provides repair instructions for the 4HP18. Maybe it would be helpful to write to ZF in Saarbrücken directly: ZF Getriebe GmbH Postfach 650464 66143 Saarbrücken Deutschland Telefon: +49 681 920-0 Telefax: +49 681 920-2377 E-mail: pkw.marketing@zf.com Gernot
